What’s Your Side Effect? (WYSE) is not your typical drug prevention campaign. Sure, it’s working to reduce drug abuse but when developing the campaign, we knew that it wasn’t enough to simply tell young people to not use drugs. Instead, we took an innovative path creating an inspirational storytelling campaign that invites young people to consider developing their passions and talents in pursuit of a life driven by personal development and community impact.

    The campaign has garnered a sizeable social following and received post/content engagement (shares and content) of upwards of 25% of reach.

    The films alone have received millions of views and the campaign was expanded from 4 counties to statewide.

    The campaign is highly regarded among prevention experts, received 3 investments of new funding and is now ran by Indiana University’s Indiana Prevention Resource Center.
